October 16, 2015

On October 16th, 2015, Alexis I. du Pont High School's Early College Academy (ECA) students visited Wilmington University's campus and learned about available majors, student life, and university resources. The ECA is a duel enrollment program offered by Wilmington University which will provide selected students the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school. The tour proved to a success as the students had a blast learning more about Wilmington University. Students are looking forward to continuing their advanced education with the Early College Academy at A.I. du Pont High School, as they are even more excited about the bright future ahead of them! Early College Academy students received their Chromebooks

October 15, 2015

Early College Academy students received their Chromebooks on Thursday, October 15th. Chromebooks will allow both the First Year Experience course and the PHI: 100 Introduction to Critical Thinking course to become more interactive, as students discover and explore together and assume more advocacy over their ECA education. Chromebooks will allow students the collaboration of Blackboard and Google documents as well as the context to learn how to use the Chromebooks as an effective resource for finding, evaluating, and synthesizing sources; applying information learned in class to the real world in order to analyze and create meaning; and internalize skills that will transfer to every high school and college course
